UMJ Students Perform Benchmarking in International KKN

  One of the activities carried out by UMJ International   participants in the program closing series on 1-4 September 2023 was a visit to   .  teachers  , namely Teacher Andrew Okta Mahendar, Miss Okta, Miss Riesta, Teacher Somruedee Senpradit, Miss Kartika, and several other teachers.  When the group visited it turned out there was  an event going on ASEAN Week, where there is a food and culture exhibition with all ASEAN countries, including Indonesia.  UMJ students used this to  benchmark  student activities on Thai campuses. Apart from visiting PSU, KKN participants were also introduced to the cultural history of Thailand, especially Songkla Province, by visiting The Thaksin Folklore Museum, Halal Restaurant, and also the Khlong Hae Floating Market.  In this activity, students can explore further about tourism management and the arrangement of city facilities so that they can be used as provisions for learning at UMJ....

The Concept of Gender Equality in Islam

  Some time ago, the mass media was busy publishing a video about a mixed congregational prayer line between men and women in a boarding school.  Not long after, a video also circulated showing a woman leading prayers for a congregation where there were men.  Responding to these conditions, the Head of the Islamic Broadcasting Communication Study Program (Kaprodi KPI)     Dr.  Hadiyan, MA., stated that the incident could actually be explained by using the word of Allah SWT, and the sunnah of the Prophet SAW.  According to him, in Islamic teachings humans are exposed as objects of Shari'a which are referred to  asmukallaf  . “Don't look at the case level, but at the level of the rules or regulations set by Allah SWT.  "In the teachings of the Islamic religion, Muslims are ordered to rely on the Al-Qur'an and Sunnah," concluded Hadiyan.
